MARTHA’S VINEYARD

The Vineyard paintings originated from memories of summers spent there during my young adult life.

I have very distinct visions of the land, water and sky intertwining, etching the landscape into my memory forever.  The iconic and romantic settings all around the Vineyard, like Aquinnah, and the Black Dog Bakery, especially stand out in my mind.  I am grateful to have a sister who has lived in Vineyard Haven since she married a local fisherman in 1985, and to  Robin at North Water Gallery for appreciating my “juicy colors” and “minimized subject matter”.
